Local Solutions, Not Party Politics

My Key Issues

The priorities I’m focused on for District 3.

Housing

We need more housing in southern Oregon. Cobey will fix zoning issues, alleviate/remove bad bureaucratic red tape/regulations, and streamline permitting processes. Cobey will work to secure funding available to alleviate costs to build homes, grants to cities/counties to build affordable housing and the critical infrastructure necessary. As well as work to direct funding to our area for programs to help first-time home buyers with education on buying a home, helping save, and closing costs.

Government Transparency and Accountability

It is important for the voters to know what the government is doing, understand how the government works, and what is going on to then be able to be engaged, actually have their voice heard and be represented.

Youth Engagement

Protect and create more opportunities, activities, and engagement for youth to be included and better developed into productive members of society

Fix the Broken Foster Care System

Invest in young people with lived experience early on and in transition so that they have a better foundation to start to save taxpayers money in the future and have a thriving, more productive society

Addiction

Cobey will work to secure/direct funding from Marijuana taxes to our area to build, maintain, and operate addiction treatment facilities to help people get off the streets and instead getting healthy, finding employment, and housing.

ODOT

We will work on reining in ODOT's massive debt and put a stop to all unnecessary projects while assuring unsafe roads and safety hazards are repaired/corrected with the utmost priority.

Protecting our Kids

Cobey will vote against any legislation that harms our kids or removes protections that prevent harm to our kids like HB 3835

How I will govern

Clear approach. Respectful process. District 3 first.

Values that guide how I govern

  • Honesty and transparency — always giving people the real story and clear communication.
  • Community-driven solutions — elevating local voices and partnering with those directly affected.
  • Compassion with accountability — leading with empathy while insisting on systems that actually work.
  • Practical problem-solving — focusing on what gets results, not partisan talking points.
  • Respect for lived experience — ensuring policies reflect the realities of families, youth, and workers on the ground.
  • Responsibility and follow-through — doing what I say I’ll do, every time.

Action steps

These steps describe the way work gets done — without committing to details that should be shaped with District 3 input.

  • Gather input and lived experience from the community before pushing policy forward.
  • Identify what’s working, what’s not, and what gets in the way (process, funding, coordination).
  • Partner with local and state stakeholders to align priorities and remove unnecessary barriers.
  • Support practical improvements and oversight so programs deliver real outcomes.
  • Communicate updates consistently so voters can stay engaged and represented.
